A car sold in a $7 million home sale in Melbourne’s inner-west last month has been valued at $1.8 million.

The sale included a number and a large number of properties including a number valued at more than four million dollars, and the value of an art collection valued at up to $30 million.
The buyer of the home is an 80-year-old woman who had a long history of owning property in Melbourne.
It is not known if she had any interest in the sale or if the house was hers.
The house had previously been sold to a man in the same suburb, who subsequently bought the house.
The purchase price is subject to approval by the Government.
The owner of the property has not been identified.
The Government’s decision to approve the sale came as a surprise to property experts and media, who had believed the property had been sold for less than the $4m asking price.ABC Melbourne reporter Alex Nankin said the house is one of the best in the area.
“It’s got a beautiful interior and it’s got some of the most desirable pieces in the market,” he said.
“There’s a gold fish, there’s a collection, there are artworks.
There’s a lot of interesting stuff.”
The owner had not been told why she had purchased the house, he said, and her property management company had not provided details.
“The seller has never had any sort of involvement with the buyer and she has never given the buyer any indication as to why she was interested in the house,” he told ABC Radio Melbourne.
“We’ve heard that she is very rich.”
The house is believed to be worth around $5 million, with the seller hoping to sell the property for more.
The property was purchased in June last year.
In December 2014, a house in Perth’s south-east sold for just under $2 million.
